NOTE: MEET IN EMBASSY LOBBY

A bitter betrayal has left your team as the last line of defense against a mysterious new terrorist group with access to a weapon of unprecedented power. Now it is up to you to uncover the truth about this weapon and stop the villains from deploying it before its too late.

Flashpoint is a Spycraft 2.0 adventure, with a dose of the tension and breathtaking conflict of 24 with a few dashes of the mysterious from (classified sources). No familiarity with the Spycraft 2.0 system is required, and the character sheet packet will include a primer and basic actions of the game, and the character sheet contains an easy to use reference on all your character's abilities.

Alright, there are still 2 reserved players who have to check in; there's a chance either one could free up. I could open a second time slot as well; can DW and Frater tell me what other slots might work for them? Right now I only have W-Th morning and evening open, and Sat all day.

No worries.

You missed last year. My new character sheets were POSH. And I plan on making them POSHER this year. Not only will gear up be done, but each character sheet has an action sheet and an ability sheet that spells out all their abilities, personalities, tactics, and relations with other agents.

Quick question.

Most of you have played at least once. Did you feel taxed handling the characters last time? I was thinking about upping the characters to 8th level and maxing out on the "cool abilities" thing, adding expert classes, skill ranks, etc. Would that be cool, or would it be better to keep it simple?

Here's where I think I am going with the characters, adding expert classes:
GOODEYE (soldier, previously played by Goblin Girl)-> counter terrorist (jack bauer style)
CUTTER (faceman, previously played by Shaylon)->con artist or schemer (schemer was the original plan, but con artist fits the character as Shay played him)
OVERDRIVE (wheelman, previously played by Teflon Billy)->stuntman (again, Teflon Billy's portrayal influenced)
STIMPY (snoop, nobody played it last year, but in other games have been played by DangerGirl and Dorgin Malagard)-> keep snoop.
SERENDIPITY (intruder, played last year by xrpsuzi)->keep intruder, or maybe raptor
MAJOR TOM(pointman/soldier)->tactician or counter-terrorist
DISH(last played by Princesskeyblade)->inventor (macgyver style)
DUTCHBOY(sleuth)->cleaner

Thoughts? Preferences? Confusion?

I know the rules a bit better this time (although likely I will need a refresher course). I think I could play a more advanced character. I would be interested to see what you do with them.

Will I reprise my role as Cutter or have we decided that yet?

That's up to you; the folks I put down characters for specifically asked to play them again. I'll give you first cut on Cutter if you want it. Though I must say, I thought you did awesome with him last time. But if you want to try something else, that's cool, too.

I advanced Cutter to 8th level as both a Con Artist and a Schemer; frankly, I like the schemer build better, and I'll probably stick with that. The schemer isn't all about conning, but it's very flexible, and very in line with the original concept.

I personally would be open to other time slots, if you have the interest. I currently have nothing for 1-6 ish on Friday and Saturday, and am keen to fill up that time. If your other game does not work then, i'm fine staying in this one though.

Saturday is a possibility, though I have another game that starts at 5; if I ran one, it'd have to be 1-5.

Add away.... Have they rereleased the 2.0 books yet? I know last year they were out of print.

Yes, they came out, but both Paizo and Amazon seem to be out of stock. This is probably due to the fact they had some problems with their UK bindery; as I understand it, they are looking to print in the US.

Alright, it doesn't look like the Saturday game is going to happen. I have 3 time slots left. Running thursday evening looks the most likely, as I am not running a game Thursday at all. But I am doing NOTHING Wednesday morning or evening, so I could run an alt session then.
