Reliving The Good Old Days
System: D&D 3.5
Genre: High Level Fantasy
Game Time: Sunday 8/17 7pm-11pm
Meeting Location: Embassy Suites Lobby

You hired a medium-level band of adventurers to go deal with it. THEY didn't return. You sent your cohort and his group to go deal with it. HE didn't return!
It might be time to dust off the old armor and call up your old band to hit the road once again. Your horse is looking at you like you're nuts for even considering saddling him.

Players will supply their own characters, to be approved ahead of time.

Complete Divine: No Radiant Servant of Pelor
DMG: No Red Wizard of Thay
Draconomicon: Player chapter (No Talon of Tiamat)

Spells: PHB only
Equipment: Book of Nine Swords (Legacy Weapons), Complete Divine (Relics), DMG, Draconomicon (player's chapter).
Group will have 1 artifact. It will be up to the players to decide what it is and who has it.

Does that include Sunday night, by any chance? Though it might be tough getting players then since many are leaving Sunday. On the other hand, any that are there are more likely to be free, I imagine.

Does the Sublime Chord function more like a wizard/controller?

I'm pretty open to a lot of things, so I can work around what others want and find the best fit for the role I need to be. Might be interested in something like a Druid or Cleric type thing. Maybe a mystic theurge would be good at this level. Also willing to be a rogue/barbarian type thing if we need some martial power.

Hmmm better to call it a sorceror/controller cross with some interesting bardic-style versatility to compensate for the prestige class delimited spellcasting.

Just wanted to jump in here and note that this is the time where the "going away" dinner will probably happen just like last year. I believe it started after the picnic and Sunday 2-6pm games ended. 7ish.

The dinner is all well and good and I did enjoy it last time, but it's not necessary for me. I enjoyed the hanging out and playing games afterwards much more.

I think I'll play a relatively straight Druid for this game, though I'm not sure of all the options I want yet.

What rules/errata will we be using for Wild Shape and Polymorph?

The other idea I'm thinking of would be a cold-themed sorcerer with a penguin familiar, something I've been meaning to do for awhile.
