He was a hero to me and I'm glad my kids know who he is/was.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

When I was less than 1 years old, my mother propped me up on her lap, and I watched him take mankind's first step on the moon.
When he left the moon, he had to press the button to launch. And nobody knew, for sure, that it would launch. He went in knowing there was a real chance he would die there. Much like he knew he could die in any of the 200 planes he was a test pilot on.
And when he returned to earth, he didn't absorb the adulation of millions, there was no Armstrong action figure, he just disappeared into privacy and never came out. Because it was never about fame for that man, it was about exploration and pushing the boundaries of what humanity could accomplish.
What a brave, interesting man.
A statement by Neil Armstrong's family: “For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”

Rest in peace Mr. Armstrong, he was one of a kind and I'm glad he died quick and easy in advanced age, in the arms of his family. Best wishes and condolances to his family and friends.
Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"
I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
My sanity left town along time ago and didn't leave a forwarding address. It's not missed.

I grew up down the street from his brother Dean. Small world.

Whatever he did was splendid and God creates such a human being once in a century. So , we really lost a "Hero" . He is my idle, "to do any thing, is your determination is strong ".
