    RPG Print Comics

I was going to make a poll of all the rpg comics we've seen over the years, but couldn't remember anything beyond: Knights of the Dinner Table, Wormy, Fineous Fingers, and Snarfquest. Others?

There was that short-lived Forgotten Realms series back in the late 80's. I believe that there was supposed to be a new D&D series coming out soon, but I haven't seen anything out of it since the promo copy given out at GC.

The new D&D comic is up to issue 2, for a total of 3 - 0, 1, 2. It's pretty fun. It reads a lot like somebody's Story Hour.

There was also KoDT Illustrated, Order of the Stick has done print, there have been Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms comics, and Kenzer did a D&D comic in the early 3e era.

Yeah I have them, well four issues, I think that's all there was. The illustration was pretty good and the story not too bad, form what I remember I'll dig them out.

That wouldn't surprise me, since that was back in the day when Marvel and DC putting out and quickly tossing away series left and right.

DC did Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Spelljammer, and Forgotten Realms

Kenzer published a number of 3E D&D mini-series: Dungeons and Dragons Black and White, In the Shadow of Dragons, and Where Shadows Fall

Devil's Due has produced a number of FR, Dragonlance and Salvatore miniseries, like Dragonlance: The Legend of Huma, Dragonlance: Saga, Dragonlance: Chronicles, Streams of Silver, Starless Night, Sojurn, and Legend of Drizz't.

There is a hardback Forgotten Realms comic, Forgotten Realms The Forbidden Sands of Anauroch, that had one issue with a second listed; never have found the second one. Done in an anime style, the comic also has 3e game stats for the PCs and some monsters.

The new D&D comic is written by JonRog, so no wonder it sounds like a Story Hour

JonRog? Cool! I'll have to try and track down those issues then.

    For other RPG-related comics:

Dragon had Yamara, Pinsom, What's New with Phil and Dixie, The Twilight Empire,
Dork Tower. Floating in Timeless Space, Gunnar Thorson, Libram X, Nodwick, and Zogonia (Dungeon had Mt Zogon, I think).

White Dwarf had Thrud the Barbarian and Gobbledegook

JTAS had The Travellers, though I doubt you could really call it an ongoing strip

I remember the AD&D comic from the late 80's. The characters in the comics were bitching about the rules changes for 2nd Ed.

" Magic missile is useless now!" Funny stuff.

    I would think so.
You also have the Phil and Dixie work in the M:TG magazine The Duelist; there are two collected volumes and Vol 2 finally has 'Sex and D&D'.

I remember an small press comic years ago called, I think, The Realm that was ostensibly linked to gaming.

[Edit: Oh, yes, here it is. ]
