he series centers on Rel, a proud, self-made success who lives by the code to "always believe in yourself and great things will come", finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life and post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago on a quest for love, respect, and a new barber. It is inspired by Howery's life
I don't follow facebook, but from what I remember, the life stations outlined there do not seem to fit Rel. (Even though self-made sucecss and the motto might even reasonably fit. But it might reasonably fit many people?)

Good Omens looks good. I liked Sheen in Passengers and Tennant makes a fine 'villainous' actor.

Oh so that's where I rememered him from. Yeah, the casting seems great, even though I know nothing about the story of Good Omens. (I once had the book, I think, or a book containing the story, but it was a horrible misprint.)

Has anyone given Star Wars Resistance more than the 5 minutes I gave it? Does it get better? Worse?

Got the first 6 episodes of The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell and watched the first last night, as I saw the previews and was pretty keen to at least check it out. Oooky-spooky culinary crafts! Wisecracking puppets!

Definitely going to keep watching. The mummified cat (Rankle) is already a hoot.

Hush the night and the morning loon
Tell the horses and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Dark the oceans, dark the sky
Hush the whales and the ocean tide
Tell the salt marsh and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

FUCK YOU CUNT FOR HAVING THE SAME OPINION AS I DO!

And no, after having watched the first three episodes I can assure you that it does not get any better and most decidedly gets worse. It doesn't even hold a candle to Rebels or Clone Wars.

Found this indirectly from Bunneh's link, watched the first couple minutes and it looks interesting. Post-apoc dystopian alien-invasion with climate/environmental overtones. I'll watch the rest after I get done with chores in a bit.

Oats Studios is pretty good. It's one of many channels I follow.

I did rather like that one. Also watched the "Firestorm Base" one (or whatever the Vietnam-era one was called), that one was okay.

Any recommendations for/against the TV series "Siren"? Someone on my FB recommended it when I posted a really cool dark/Goth mermaid cosplay that I really liked the looks of.

I enjoyed it. I plan to continue with Season 2. The merfolk are "dark" primarily in that they are predators, and not "human" despite outward appearances, so it doesn't pay to antagonize them. They're very strong and apparently learn really fast. Thanks to local overfishing (and, presumably, climate change and perhaps waste dumping) their feeding grounds are threatened. And a hungry merperson is not a happy merperson.
