Nothing. Clearly I have superior taste.

I mean, other than the extremely groan-worthy plot...
Practically stolen from Ralph Bakshi's Wizards. I have to give credit where it's due, "Lost knowledge is key to winning the future" isn't often implemented in a post-apoc.

    wholly unbelievable firearms sequences...
Eh, you say spaghetti, I say pasta. I'm more forgiving of turning guns into failure devices to make the heroes look good. I loved Star Wars after all...

    obvious gag-worthy-ness of religious proselytization...
There was barely any proselytizing. And again, I'm more forgiving of proselytizing than you are. Otherwise I'd have a grudge against almost every movie made. Ever.

edit: the second one is my favorite. I really like the third too. I prefer the songs, and the animation is a bit improved.

Oh good. And thanks, my usual sources hadn't reported that yet. Gonna have to go outside those channels and find it.

Better Call Saul is back for season 4.

And this was an amusing hour spent... Confinement.

    The trailer:

Warning, he's only got 5 episodes done and makes one episode roughly every two months...

Continuing my post-apocalyptic move education, I have to admit that "Waterworld" is one of those few movies that's so laughably bad, it's good. *

I actually kinda liked the costuming. And there are more than a few parallels with "Fury Road", you have to admit.

Was quite surprised to be scanning the credits and realized "Holy shit, Jack Black was in this travesty?!?!" Actually, since it was so laughable, maybe I shouldn't have been terribly surprised.

*far better than "A Boy And His Dog", honestly.

    fire fire dragonfire
    searing words and ancient ire
    wake wake from the grave
rise to set the world aflame

    night night endless night
    terror is the only light
    bane bane rage untamed
    darkness dwells in age-old blame

I always knew there was somethin wrong with you. Didn't expect it to be "has bad taste in post-apoc movies" however.

Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"

I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

From what I understand, their business model consists of purposefully making movies that fall into the "so bad it's good" category, so that people go see them just to see for themselves exactly how low you can go. It's not a strategy that draws in the masses, but their budgets are so low that I think they can consistently turn out a profit.

Watched "The Postman" the other night, and really rather liked it. Not sure what the seething hatred from a lot of people is about on this movie, other than it's one of those But The Book Is Totally Different sorts of things.

Tom Petty absolutely killed his role.

I know it's probably weird, but Return to Oz has been one of my favorite movies. Sure, it's a mismash of different books, but it's fairly true to the series in terms of tone and creepiness. At least the earlier works anyway.

The movie wasn't bad. The book was better.

    "Aren't you...famous?"

The book wasn't that different. The movie was tepid, the book was dull.
