Personally I think it's the best version of the Tick yet.

    Clever little zombie-apocalypse short film.

Dark the stars and dark the moon
Hush the night and the morning loon
Tell the horses and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Dark the oceans, dark the sky
Hush the whales and the ocean tide
Tell the salt marsh and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Boy walked by while I was watching that and asked what it was. I found I couldn't describe it in any meaningful way, so I didn't and left him in ignorance.

The Netflix reboot of Lost in Space is pretty good so far.

I enjoyed it a lot, though I am not a fan of Dr. Smith's plotting. It seems to work a bit too conveniently well for her and makes the otherwise smart and capable characters look a bit too dumb. Even though I think the character itself is interesting.

There were two super annoying things about Lost in Space that almost broke it for me.

    1) The overt, lazy, cheesey, on the nose tokenism of the eldest child. It's like she was an afterthought when they looked at the cast and went, "Fuck, they're so goddamned white."

    2) "You're the best friend I've ever had. Now, kill yourself..." Like, fuck off. That was just plain dumb. And then it decides to attack its own species and defy its programming to save the kid that made it kill itself. If it's original loyalty was based on the kid saving it, wouldn't killing it make it an enemy?

Obvious tokenism, but I don't mind it much. At least the Robinsons are a future family. African Achilles, on the other hand...

I mean, shouldn't black people be annoyed by tokenism? Isn't the success of Black Panther proof that people want stories about Africans and not stories about Europeans with black actors cast in there?

Netflix's Witcher tv show will be 8 episodes long, coming out in 2020, filmed in Eastern Europe, mostly Poland.

All the time in preproduction sounds like they're taking this seriously. No casting info yet. First season to be based on the first two books, which are collections of short stories.

    Finally saw Justice League.

Liked it just fine. Wish I had managed to catch it in the theaters.

I waffled a bit about where to stick this... the Machinator, the Senate... but I decided as it's more effecting one's entertainment, it's best here.

A clip from the Philip DeFranco show about Brave, because I'm too fooken lazy to get the info and type it up myself:
