What prevented me from watching it was I thought it was a children's show with adult appeal, like Adventure Time. But it's much better.

edit: I started watching because The Weekly Planet Podcast was doing a vs episode, and they did Rick vs Dr. Who. Rick won.

I view Adventure Time as an Adult show with a tremendous amount of kid appeal.

    But it's much better.
That's a tall order. But I'll give it a look.

It's somewhat similar to Adventure Time, in that the main appeal is absurdest humor. But it's much more adult. Oh, and I thought the pilot was the worst episode of season 1, so you definitely need to watch at least the first 3.

edit: it's got some great guest voices, too. Claudia Black, Keith David, Patton Oswald, Stephen Colbert, and those are just a few I recall off the top of my head.

For me the main draw of AT is that it's Gamma World with no semblance of seriousness.

Season 1-5 are great. Season 6-8 have their moments. At the end of season 10 I said "Oh come on" and gave up.

    OMFG!!! SQUEEEE!!!

Neil Gaiman is doing a live-action podcast of Neverwhere in coordination with the BBC and the first 3 episodes are available!!!!

Among others doing voices for it are Benedict Cumberbatch and Natalie Dormer!!

Dark the stars and dark the moon
Hush the night and the morning loon
Tell the horses and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Dark the oceans, dark the sky
Hush the whales and the ocean tide
Tell the salt marsh and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

    The Gunslinger is coming.

bit more info: Idris Elba is playing Roland, and Matthew McConaughey is playing the Man in Black.

I'm not sure about Idris Elba as Roland, really. Especially if Susannah is ever introduced, as racial tensions between Detta and Roland play what I thought were important parts of the story, particularly how Roland is on the receiving end of the racism, and doesn't harbor racism himself.

I guess the main issue is when I think of Roland, I think of Clint Eastwood, and it'll be jarring to see Idris Elba in that role.

Jesus, no wonder John Wick was so good. Keanu knew what he was doing.

Gotta admire his dedication. No wonder they're doing a sequel, gotta put that training to use.

You know Eldy, just because your politics are crap doesn't mean your taste in movies needs to be crap. You've got time to change.

You really need to stop using this forum as your own personal mirror.

Does anyone remember a commercial for like milk or something? There was a woman sitting at a table with a milk carton in front of her and the guy comes in and sits down and she says something like, "I'm really angry with you."

And he says something like, "Is this about your engagement ring? Y'know, a cubic zirconium is just as good as a real diamond."

And she looks at him but doesn't speak.

So then he asks, "Is this about my time in prison?"

But in the end it's really because he finished the milk.

Does anyone think, like do you ever wonder if, y'know, they're still together? Or whatever? 'Cause she was pretty hot.

Yeah I'm posting drunk so what!! It's still a ligimitate question!! Can't find that video anywhere online oh wait hey I found a peanut!
