    Also, anyone who likes Black Lightning is a complete fucking moron. That shit was utter trash and will never get any better. I mean fuck's sake, the suit alone is just retarded as fuck.

    Watched the first episode of the Alienist. It's already losing me with the stilted, unnatural dialogue straight from a bad gothic rip-off novel.

    Looks like the Deadpool + Cable movie will be as good as expected... and that Cable is as stupidly Mary Sue as possible and takes his shit waaaaay to seriously... so, a perfect comic book adaption!

    Also, his gun's volume goes to 11!

    Thanks to Aaron Williams for noticing!

    I went and saw "Hostiles" and I did enjoy it. Nothing terribly earth-shattering for a storyline, though it's a feast for the eyes if you're into buckskinning/blackpowder with what I perceived to be a pretty damn high degree of period authenticity.

    There was one bit that made me bark out a surprised laugh when I realized who had done what.

    Decent movie overall, especially if you like Western/frontier type stuff.
    News I bring;
    Bells the stag, winter snow
    Summer is past
    Wind high and cold
    Low the sun, short its course
    Seas run strong;
    The russet bracken its shape is lost
    Wild goose raises wanton cry
    Cold lays hold on wings of bird
    Time of ice
    This I heard.

    Amazon is going to make a Culture series, starting with Consider Phlebas. I'm cautiously optimistic. I just read this series last year.

    Star Wars Rebels is over.

    I dislike the way the wrote out Kanan, but liked the way they wrote out Ezra. I've other gripes about the ending, but somewhat expected it as Dave Filoni's dick stamp is all over Rebels...

    This just in from TMZ, that hard-hitting news source. There's some witty writing here.

    Although I didn't mind Rebels, there were some really stupid moments in it. It went too far in many ways as well. It's like they felt that because it was animated, they could do anything they wanted and fuck thematic style. Unfortunately, helicopter sabres are now canon.

    I hope they do a new series with Ahsoka and Sabine that touches on Ahsoka's journey and what they do in the lead up to Force Awakens.

    And I hope they form a lesbian relationship...

    Just saw Annihilation (via Netflix). If you like the kind of sci-fi horror movie that keeps you guessing what's really going on, it's awesome.

    Also, it creates a new monster for RPG purposes in my head.
    Movie Spoiler:
    Spoiler:

    The Screaming Bear. A bear-like creature that sounds like someone's screaming for help. The screaming bear uses this to lure his victims to him...

    Not so much the 'horror' part but the 'shades of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.' part.

    We're enjoying Babylon Berlin, the German series set in the 1920's. Great sets, costumes and good writing and acting.

    It's on my to-see list when I get round to it, but I'm going to go see RP1 tonight here in a bit.

    Anybody seen this? Looks satisfyingly wu xia to me. I ran across it from some stills on Pinterest, and finally found something in English so I could figure out what it was referencing. Definitely going to want subtitles.
