    Far Cry 5 reveal trailer was shown this morning. About what I expected (it looked cool and interesting). But the best thing I've heard about it is that Ubisoft has confirmed it will have campaign two-player co-op! Woot!

    As long as there is no "always online" nonsense for us single player types.
    I wouldn't even censor you.

    Cool.

    None of them are on my wishlist... but Europa Universalis might be worth $2 to never get around to playing...

    I got Witcher 3 on the GOG summer sale, but I've yet to play it. I got Dragon Age Inquisition's game of the year edition on sale as well (on Origin), and I'm playing my second playthru as a knight enchanter. I really like this game, which is odd because I don't usually go for sandboxy type games. They've added these things called "trials" which make the game harder and give you bonus gear in recompense. The biggest advantage is that one of the trials makes enemies scale to your level, and outleveling content was a big problem my first play thru, and the other adds randomly harder and more skilled enemies, which is a nice change of pace.

    edit: Oh, it's actually nice playing dragon age inquisition with a computer that can do ultra settings. It looks really good. I played with shitty settings first time, on my old computer.

    atari seems to be getting back in the console business*. all they've said is that it's "based on PC Technology". A steambox? a competitor to the steambox? one of those 100 in one plug and play thingies? who knows.

    *well, this is infogrames atari, which is not the same as Tramiel atari(which released the 7800, lynx and Jaguar) or tengen atari(which made arcade games and NES ports) or Warner atari(pre crash, the 'glory days' if you will.) so really they're new at this.

    Both those looked pretty cool! I'm assuming there's also some sort of storyline in addition to the battles?
    News I bring;
    Bells the stag, winter snow
    Summer is past
    Wind high and cold
    Low the sun, short its course
    Seas run strong;
    The russet bracken its shape is lost
    Wild goose raises wanton cry
    Cold lays hold on wings of bird
    Time of ice
    This I heard.

    Mount and Blade is a sandbox game. You basically write your own story line, usually some sort of rise to power. Join a kingdom, support a pretender, marry a princess (or prince, you can play female characters), forge your own kingdom, wander the world trading, do mercenary work, that sort of thing. In addition to the battles is politics, war, a bit of town management, trade, etc. Quests, things like that.
