Huh? Of course you can. It even says in the description that it's an action.

So is taking a potion, how often do you do that in combat?

And that you could distribute several in advance. And if the Healbot goes down to some out-of-the-blue hit you can cram one in it's ear and get it back up.

In my last long running D&D game (3.5e)? All the damn time as it was a LE game, so our Cleric was LE and thus, no spontaneous heals (and he preferred to save his few prepared heals for himself and his Ally).

Our previous long running D&D campaign was a 3e-3.5e Night Below campaign and we used Goodberries and Potions almost exclusively for healing (and often in the midst of combat), with the Cleric only rarely having to spont cast a Cure on the Fighter (but we also went for the first half of that campaign without a Cleric, so we just got used to potion/Goodberry healing).

Can't really speak to how often they'd be needed with 4e or 5e as I don't play inferior garbage systems D&D anymore.

This does not surprise me, although I peg you more as Chaotic Evil, i.e. the stupid evil.

But now it gets to have its own branch just for itself!

I think what I read so far sounds too much like a D&D 4. If I would have wanted to play D&D 4, I would have adapted 4E like-rules for the Star Wars setting already.

    Oh, wait, I did.

Does not compute. It's just another edition of D&D...

Damn you and your perfectly valid criticism!

I'm sure its the same issue as with 3e - everyone's got a billion books and they don't need anymore, so sales are dropping. They may lose part of their audience but they need people to buy new books one way or the other.
We've always been at war with Eastasia.
If other people's pain didn't amuse me, I wouldn't be a GM. -barsoomcore

I'd love to know if their subscription sales figures have dropped. Pathfinder itself was created so that Paizo could continue selling magazine subscriptions (the replacement for Dungeon magazine) after WotC shit the bed with the GSL for 4e - I wonder if their loss in market share has resulted in a loss of subscribers too.

The problem isn't a bajillion books. It's that picking and choosing options from disparate sources results in player/GM arms race.

I'd much prefer a flatter swords and sorcery ruleset closer to the DCC RPG or 5e where magic is a lot rarer and spells are a lot less spectacular. We'll just have to see how PF 2e spins the rules.

My last experience other than 3.0 to 3.5 to PF was Spycraft. And I just didn't see the need for a 2nd edition of it.

Try Mutants and Masterminds for Star Wars. It's a fairly easy system to learn and very versatile.

Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"

I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

My sanity left town along time ago and didn't leave a forwarding address. It's not missed.
