    This. Because, in another life, I would have been someone like Annie Nightingale. She's just great.

    You're gonna need to give this song a minute.

    Hands-down the best 'curse' song I know.

    News I bring;
    Bells the stag, winter snow
    Summer is past
    Wind high and cold
    Low the sun, short its course
    Seas run strong;
    The russet bracken its shape is lost
    Wild goose raises wanton cry
    Cold lays hold on wings of bird
    Time of ice
    This I heard.

    This has long been my fave trad/contra waltz tune, though I never realized till now who wrote it. I like Vasen, and it's neat to hear a version with not only a nyckelharpa chiming in, but d00d on the left is playing a 5-string viola for extra "interestingly uncommon" points.

    I wanted to post the version (which is a bit brighter-sounding) from their concert a couple nights ago in Bogota, but that appears to be a FB-only video.

    Eivor is awesome, and this live version of "Trollabundin" is particularly good. I love some of the interesting vocal effects/noises she throws into her songs.

    Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"

    I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

    My sanity left town along time ago and didn't leave a forwarding address. It's not missed.
