    reveal's Daily Trivia 5.31.19

    Weekend edition!

    1) What is the largest lake on Earth? Answered

The Caspian Sea. Despite being called a “sea” for its sheer size and its saline water, many scholars hold that it is technically a lake because it is fully enclosed by land.

    2) Where does the phrase "hands down" come from (as in, "He won the game, hands down)?

    3) What cult classic film popularized the red Swingline stapler? Answered

Office Space (1999). Swingline didn’t actually make red staplers when the movie was released (the one used in the film was a black Swingline stapler spray-painted red), but the film sparked a surge of demand for red staplers and prompted Swingline to begin manufacturing them.

    4) Henry VIII had a total of six wives during his lifetime, and most of them didn't fare too well. Which two wives did Henry VIII have beheaded at the infamous Tower of London? 1 of 2 Answered

    Anne Boleyn

2 - Horse racing. If a jockey is so far ahead he'll relax and drop his hands from the reins as he crosses the finish line.

    2. Cricket? I swear, I heard someone talking about this on tv a couple days ago but given I have a mind like a sieve, I can't remember it.

Swingline makes these sweet little red staplers called Tot 50. They're like little student staplers. I still have mine. They work relatively well unless you have to staple a thick pile of papers together.

    Correct!

    2) The phrase was first used in the 19th century to describe a type of horse-racing victory in which a jockey was so far ahead that he could drop his reins and relax before crossing the finish line.

And the other dead wife from #4 is Catherine Howard.

    4) Anne Boleyn was the first to be beheaded, in 1536, and Catherine Howard followed in 1542.
