Girls might be worse at math, but telling them this doesn't change anything

The influence of gender stereotype threat on mathematics test scores of Dutch high school students: a registered report

"Among the girls, we found neither an overall effect of stereotype threat on math performance, nor any moderated stereotype threat effects."

TL/DR: Telling girls that "girls are bad at math" doesn't actually affect them in regards to their performance in math.

Girls aren't bad at math. They're good at calculation. They're not as good at problem solving. Just happens that electric calculators are better than humans at calculation.

To the left of reality. Behind reason. Right next to the backside of beyond.

    Studies are bunk.
Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"

I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

My sanity left town along time ago and didn't leave a forwarding address. It's not missed.

Sure, but there is a fun factor in such action that cannot be so easily dismissed.
