    2) Jonathan Swift. The poem was “Cadenus and Vanessa.” Swift rearranged some of the syllables in the name of a friend, Esther Vanhomrigh, to arrive at “Vanessa.”

    Good lord. I've been to Middleton, WI. There was no museum there, only an interesting Frank Lloyd Wright house (the second Jacobs house). But it's been quite a while since i was last there. This must be a new addition.

    To be fair, it's not all that far from Duluth, all things being equal.

    Just for entertainment's value, here's the host of the Shoezeum giving you a tour of his shoe museum near San Diego. (He's a lawyer, too. Coincidence?)
