It's that time of year again! Where we feast and make merry and indulge in way too many carbs. So post your recipes here. I'll start off with mine

Green beans with cranberries

1 or 2 packages of fresh snipped green beans
1 or 2 handfuls of dried cranberries (to taste)
Chicken or Turkey broth (if you don't have that, chicken bullion will do)
Garlic (to taste)
Dry White Wine (to taste)
Italian seasoning (to taste)
Tony Chachere's creole seasoning (to taste)
2 slices of bacon or a ham hock (depending on what you have)

Put everything together in a pot, cook until the beans are tender. Mostly I just eye-ball the ingredients, so you will have to taste things to make sure it is to your liking.
