    One thing that Wonder Woman seems to share with Captain America is that they're are idealistic people who are used to seeing the world in black and white, but who has come to realize that it really is all greys.

    And still sticks by their ideals, showing what a good person really is.

    This was a good movie, still a paint by number that hit all the right buttons, I enjoyed it. Solid 7/10 , would rival a marvel movie in spirit and humor.

    I liked it well enough that I went for a second time today. Partially for the overall awesomeness, and partly to have a chance to ogle background stuff, costuming, details, etc.
    News I bring;
    Bells the stag, winter snow
    Summer is past
    Wind high and cold
    Low the sun, short its course
    Seas run strong;
    The russet bracken its shape is lost
    Wild goose raises wanton cry
    Cold lays hold on wings of bird
    Time of ice
    This I heard.

    Second watch: Veld is still my favourite fight. Two things I'd change:
    - there's a moment where she's stripped a rifle from a soldier, and smashes it to splinters using her own back as a fulcrum. It literally took me five or six replays to figure out what was causing the explosion of wood chips. (0:37-0:41 in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYIYIpAo66Y) It felt like that needed to be edited slightly differently somehow to make it clearer what was happening.
    - the lasso sequence: it's neat, but I had the impression she was throwing CGI dummies around instead of practical stunts with air-rams and ratchets. I could be wrong - I haven't found that clip on YouTube to rewatch it - but it didn't quite work for me.

    Love the greave-slides and shield-slides, though.

    Ares fight - still blah.

    Glad I wasn't the only one who was a bit confused at that bit. My only guess was that one of them had somehow swung a jammed rifle at her stock-first and just broken it on her, to where she sort of shrugged it off.

    The beach fight on Themyscira was my fave. Actually, any/all of the fighting and training sequences on Themiscyra.

    Okay, actually any of the scenes involving life on Themyscira. I just want a whole movie set on Themiscyra!
