Thread: Your Ignore List

  1. #106
I never liked Dark Sun; after reading some of the novels set there I thought it was rather boring, and the main thing that was always in the forefront of my mind was how miserable it would be there, since I hate the heat and wasteland-type deserts.

    Also, their elves were weird.

I think my top three fave settings in order would be Planescape, Forgotten Realms and Krynn.

Dark the stars and dark the moon
Hush the night and the morning loon
Tell the horses and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Dark the oceans, dark the sky
Hush the whales and the ocean tide
Tell the salt marsh and beat on your drum
Gone their master, gone their son.

Their halflings still love good food and the comforts of home.

    And they're deadly!

Still, not enough to save the setting for me.

That's my joke. Good food = people, comforts of home = rabid isolationists.

just the elves? They took every nonhuman race and turned their concepts on their head. Or just exterminated them.

How can anyone hate a setting where gnomes have been exterminated? Gallard is the best.
Signature too big and pornographic. Next offense will be a ban.

FWIW, I'm on the design team and I pretty much find WoW as fun and interesting as banging my head against a brick wall.-- Mike Mearls

I mean, I never GET any but that would be preferable. --Rel

How did this flagellation thread turn into one about gaming? It usually works the other way round!
Robin Williams: "In England, if you commit a crime, the police don't have a gun and you don't have a gun. If you commit a crime, the police will say, 'Stop, or I'll say stop again.'"

PWD: "you're the seed, the relationship is the soil, and the love and attention and work you put into the relationship is the sun and the rain that feeds it. What grows from that is what you always were meant to become."

There's no heroes. Only villains. Of course we are.
Madness does not always howl. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "Hey, is there room in your head for one more?"

I is before E except after C, then it's chaos man, mass chaos! Letters coming together into words, but then you go English and they put U's in places that just shouldn't go there... AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

My sanity left town along time ago and didn't leave a forwarding address. It's not missed.
