    Whut?!?!

So you've gone from "...absolute piece of shit..." to, "I'll support him if he continues to be a member of my favourite political party,"?

That's... just fucking insane. I mean literally, you are insane. There is no possible logical argument using applied reason that you can use to rationalise that stance as anything other than fucking batshit crazy.

The only realistic political position in the US is to vote the party, not the person. I've voted for numerous pieces of shit.

It's an interesting position to take. I don't agree with it, but his candidate, no matter who it is, will likely always outperform a 3rd party choice.

Sanders sin was trying to be a communist party candidate in the new way democrat party. It will be interesting to see how long Clinton's power holds and that is true. I see the democrats getting far more socialist in the next 10 years.
No word is more misunderstood and used to denigrate in the USA than communist. Sanders isn't communist at all. He's a democratic socialist with a long history of progressive and moderate policy.

You clearly do not understand American politics. His response is pretty par for the course over here.

You have to give Kzach a break. He clearly lives in a country with a Parliamentary form of government where coalitions are formed AFTER the election and cannot understand the nuances of a duopolistic form of government where the coalitions must be formed within the parties BEFORE the election.

No, fuckwit. You're part of the partisan problem in modern democracies around the world today. You help perpetuate an unnecessary duopoly that isn't even required in your, or any, democratic constitution. A system of egregious corruption and cronyism where moderate politics are pushed to the side as everyone is forced to vote not for who represents them, but for who is the least unrepresentative of them. It is a system that benefits those in power to keep them in power and it's why you have such a fucked up system that gave you fucking Trump as president.

What's more is that you're too fucking stupid to realise how dumb it is to call someone an utter piece of shit for WORKING WITHIN THE SYSTEM YOU SUPPORT. It's fucking mental how idiotic your mind truly is that you can bypass the cognitive dissonance and form such a hypocritical and self-destructive opinion that is so fundamentally lacking in reason that practically every sentence you've written in this thread contradicts your own, supposedly core, values.

You are mentally unstable. Seek help.

Kzach you ignorant fuck. Though not required directly in the constitution, the requirements for an absolute majority in the Electoral College forces a de facto constitutionally required political duopoly at the presidential level which, by political necessity, forces its way down throughout all levels of government in the United States.

This isn't the only example of something that is not directly mandated by the constitution but, nevertheless, exists due to our constitutional system.

So the lesson for the day is, don't go spouting bullshit about things your Australian ass has no clue whatsoever.

You just said it isn't mandated but necessitated and then do everything in your power to perpetuate a system that is against your own best interests. A new party could rise up but never will because fuckwits like you continue to do stupid shit like calling a great candidate a piece of shit for working within the system that you empower, support and require him to work within and do everything to prevent from being changed for the better. And then, simply because he would stick around for awhile, say you'd vote for him. It's so fucking stupid, which is exactly what the system relies on: you, the stupid.

Again you demonstrate your complete ignorant fuckitude.

Look to fucking history. The only way for a new party to rise under the US system is for one of the two major parties to DIE FIRST. This has happened precisely two times, both in the nineteenth century and both pre-Civil War. The first time was when the Federalist Party went belly up with the first Adams administration in 1801 which basically resulted in single party rule for 24 years until the schism in the Democratic-Republican party resulted in the Adamsian (as in John Quincy) faction breaking off and forming the Whigs while the Jacksonian faction formed the Democratic Party.

This worked until about 1853 and the end of the Filmore administration after which the Whigs basically died, resulting in the rise of the Republican Party.

And it's been those two parties ever since. Third Parties have attempted to rise in history, but the absolute most one has ever accomplished is to throw the election to one side.

The ONLY way to put an end to the current two party system is to end the absolute majority requirement for a win in the Electoral College, or end the Electoral College system altogether. Until that happens, we will always be a duopolistic political system, regardless of the makeup of those two parties because presidential elections are either a choice between two candidates or the election is always thrown to the House of Representatives where the party that can get buy in from 26 state delegations will always determine the outcome. Either way, it's always a choice between two parties.

In a system where a Prime Minister as the head of an executive branch is chosen through the formation of a coalition government in a parliament, this will never be the case. You can have dozens of parties and it be completely viable in such a system. You can also go months or years before a coalition government can ever be formed.
Trump is just Putin's little bitch.

There is no such de facto requirement. A failure to achieve a majority in the Electoral College just puts the choice in the hands of Congress.

I am highly amused, though, that Kzach and Spoony are now arguing things that I said months ago, but got called stupid by them for saying.

    Listen to this logic.
[1] He votes for numerous pieces of shit.
[2] He votes for party not the person (given his track record he is a Democrat).
[3] He thinks Sanders is a piece of shit (but that should not be a deterrent because of [1] and [2]).

    Now here is the disconnect.

[4] He will vote Trump over Sanders because Sanders is a bigger piece of shit, thereby ignoring his self-imposed beliefs [1] and [2].

    So there we have it.

I would have because the piece of shit was not in the party. If he runs in 2020 and wins the nomination, I will vote for him over Trump because he is now a Democrat and will have been a Democrat for four years.

    It's all the party.

On Edit: I will, however, oppose the piece oof shit in any and all primaries, including his primary for the nomination for his current Senate seat in 2018. He will draw an opponent and I will donate money to that opponent. Because it's all about the party, it all comes down to the primaries.
