I can understand why you are saying this, but I knew him, and I am not in any cliques that I am aware of. Spent a good deal of time with him offline. People who knew him said he was a really great guy because when they interacted with him, he was. I don't think anyone was prepared for this.

What happened was horrible, jarring, and shocking to everyone that knew him. Dextra and the kids went through some horrible stuff, and I am fairly certain, as others have stated, that nobody could believe it.

Yeah, some people have different personalties online than they do in real life. After the umpteenth person told me what a stellar fellow Hellhound was, I figured that was the case here. Unfortunatey for me, I was stuck with the online ass.

I was referring to how if someone is an asshole online that the clique back them up regardless. Those within can do (almost) no wrong while those outside can do (almost) no right. What I find amusing is that a lot of the people I had conflicts with are now on the outs with the in crowd. It just takes a while for others, who are not as clued in as I am, to come to their senses.

As for Hellhound, I actually got along with him. Sort-of. After a limited fashion. We had some similar interests so crossed paths a fair few times (online). He even backed me up here. Although he said I owed him money and that's just blatantly false. In fact, I bought that damn PDF twice because I lost the email account attached to the download link from the first one.

Well I did meet him and smoked cigars with him on a couple of occasions. He was always a nice guy. That's why I was so shocked when it came out about what he did.

My guess is that anyone who says 'its awful and shocking but what actually happened?' probably already knows enough.

It's sufficient to say the guy was a monster and that I personally wouldn't have trouble being violent towards him (a reaction which, when I heard what had happened, really caught me off guard).
