You mean that we should get used to that the government reads all our emails and listens to all our phone calls?* Yeah, sure.

*Technically, everything goes through filtering software before any person reads or listens to it, but the point stands.

News broke this week If you want me to be retroactively outraged back to a moment when I didn't know about that, I can try, but I doubt it will be impressive. Mind you, I didn't say I was outraged to begin with, as it was just one line in a long post of events. But good on you for going for the old "Bush's fault" over that stinking pile of shit your "best President of my generation" has pulled off.

This article from 2006 shows how much BS is being thrown by teabaggers, Mistbagger included.

And it's from the right wing rag, USA Today.

Interesting that you think I knew about it because there was an article on in, eXcocks.

NYT declared today that the Administration has now lost all credibility. Are they all Tea Partiers too? Is everyone who is vastly disappointed with this Presidency, with their horrible track record of being closed and secretive despite promises to be the most open in history, a Tea Partier in your mind?

We know you're disappointed in him too. You admitted it once, after the election. But for some bizzare reason you feel the need to continue to put up a front. It's sad.

All over the news seven years ago and all the baggers claim they didn't know. Typical baggers Fine under the white guy is HORRIBLE TYRRANY under the Muslim Kenyan Socialist.

Especially since in both cases, the USA PATRIOT Act is followed to the letter. FISA courts okayed all instances.

Is it a good thing to follow bad law?

Bush is the miracle excuse. Whatever it is, you can blame it on him, and it's okay. Even if you do it to, so long as Bush did it, you're excused. Failure to have held Bush accountable (even if you did, you didn't) means it's an even better excuse. No behavior too bad, because Bush!

It's a better thing to lobby Congress to repeal the PATRIOT Act.

    Here's a funny story...

Thomas Jefferson despised the power of the Federal government, especially the Executive branch, and called for severely limiting that power. That is, until he was elected president at which time he expanded the power of the Executive branch greatly.

    Same thing for Madison.

When the courts and the legislative branch cedes power to the Executive branch, the Executive branch ALWAYS exercises it.

The answer is to repeal that power.

Everybody who sits in the White House, from Washington on, engaged in this same hypocrisy.

    Obama included.

The idea is, power must be taken back from the Executive, but instead we have a spineless legislative branch who cedes their power to the Executive through legislation.

And yet, in every case, you carry water for Obama. Nothing he does is independantly bad, but you're make noises about reducing the power of the Executive. Just not, you know, because of anything specific Obama did.
