I would but I spend most of my day waiting on gateway errors.

Definitely him. He's the same asshole who, during Gen Con, called our room at 2 in the morning, when we were all asleep, to ask if he could crash in our room. Sandie told him to fuck off.
If you participate in my Daily Trivia thread, do not look for the answer elsewhere and post it.

I'm sure he's paid something by now, right? What kind of asshole pops up out of nowhere to say he's going to overpay you the money he owes you and then pays nothing.

You don't need to wait long for one, so you must be trainspotting.

I believe the hammer locking back is PWD's trigger warning.

Maybe not for you but the gateway errors in Australia are larger and more poisonous.

Perhaps you should consider moving to another country. Do you speak German?

I think you should hold your breath until he pays you. It's obviously going to happen any second now!

Man, my first Gencon was in '09. Aside from MarkCM popping fett in the chops I managed to avoid a shit ton of drama over the last 4 years. This Twin Rose sounds like someone truly worthy of a cockpunch.

I never understood what his deal was. He built up a ton of great community props with his product, he was working with the PCGen crew to incorporate more of his work into ours, he really was all all around decent chainsmoking alcholic if I remember correctly when I met him at GenCon.

Guess you really don't know people till you do business with them.

I'm not sure of what went down but from what I've heard he lost everything as well. There could've been a million reasons why he went south of the border into crazytown.

I owe people money and if I ever can pay them back, I will. But the simple fact of the matter is that shit happens and you don't always have control over what you can and can't do. When I lost my business it wasn't for a lack of trying. I did my utmost to make it work. I was working well over 100 hours a week and did so for almost 20 months straight, seven days a week. I physically and mentally obliterated myself to the point of complete breakdown by the time I had no other choice but to close up shop.

Then the shame and guilt of having failed and of having no way to pay people back set in afterwards.

So it may not be that he's some horrible, nasty, manipulative scumbag, he might just be ashamed and depressed and trying his best to pay people back but can't get himself out of whatever rut he keeps falling back into. Maybe he came into a job where he thought he would have the resources to pay Morrus back, only to have the job fall out from underneath him before he could make good on the promise.

I'm just saying there are circumstances beyond our knowledge or understanding that could factor into events. So he might still be the decent guy you met, it's just that circumstance, survival instinct, guilt, whatever, made him do things that seem strange to outside observers.
